Hi Ricky
I have just responded to someone on the boards yesterday re finding out that my great grandfather's name was Actie. I had not heard this name before as I presumed that his surname was Arthur but information like this has a high possibility of being wrong re the difficulties of maintaining records in the Caribbean.
I live in the UK and am working on my family tree.
My great grandfather was known as Confidant Actie but was know as Pa Gaul (nickname) Arthur. He may or may not have been married to my great-grandmother, these details are difficult to confirm.
He lived in the La Croix area but could have come from Garrand of St Lucia, either way it is a very small island. He died circa 1962 or 63 and would have been of around 65 or 70ish. I know nothing about his siblings and he did have about 7 or 8 children whom mostly remained in St Lucia. Only the youngest left to go to Cayenne (British Guyana).
Interested in your story.
Regards
