I am looking for inforamtion about the LaGonterie family of St. Lucia. Mildred and Ralph La Gonterie were born in St. Lucia in 1895 and 1897, respectively, but emigrated later to the U.S. Their father, Henry Joseph La Gonterie, had a dry goods store in Castries. Henry's brother's name was Hamilton. Their father was Charles La Gonterie. I would like to know which church the family would have attended so I can write to see if there are records of the family. I would also liketo learn more about the store in Castries and the descendants of the La Gonterie brothers. Are any left on the island, or where did they emigrate to?
