I am making a tree of my mother's family. She was Iris Alina Ruiz y Rivera born in 1921 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Her father is Blasino Ruiz y Villanueva of Isabela born 1890, and her mother is Maria Mercedes Rivera y Sanchez de Ruiz born in Aguadilla in 1900. I am also searching for their parents. Blasino - father is Buenaventura Ruiz of Isabela born 1854; mother is Narcisa Villanueva. Maria Mercedes - father is Isidoro Rivera y Medina born in Aguadilla in 1865 and mother is Angelica Sanchez y Lopez born in Aguadilla 1875. I hope to trace our family back to Spain, but have had no luck going further than my great grandparents. Is there a place I can call to seek birth, marriage and death certificates? Without documentation I can go no further, and I need to talk with someone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
