I am trying to build my family tree. Unfortunately I have become interested long after my mother Vera Mello (Holmes (HOLM) married to David Mello in Bermuda in 1931), passed away.
I know my grandfather and grandmother were from SABA

Florence Hassell b 1880
I am unsure of validity of dates but believe them to be close.

They lived in Bermuda until my grandfather died and then were taken back to SABA by their mother. I believe there is still a home on the island.

I also believe that they changed their surname to Holmes from HOLM.

Phenis Algernon (Sonny) b 1919
