My interest in the Rawlins family comes from my research on the Stedman family. Grace Vancourt Pemberton, d/o Sholto Pemberton and Anna Rawlins married James Francis Johnson, son of William John Johnson and Janet Syme Stedman. Janet is a descendant of the Barton-Stedman family line from Kinross, Scotland and I am researching descendants of that family line.

My curiosity was piqued when I discoved Stedman Rawlins and would like to know what connection he might have to which Stedman family.

Further, Pemberton families are allied with Stedman families in several places and I would be interested in seeing if there is a conneciton with Sholto's family.
