Hello karen, sorry that things didn't play out well with you and your father. I am certain though, you are a FOWLIN. This last name is very unique to my family. To be brief for right now. Henry Fowlin was a (Panamanian)sailor who traveled a lot and had MANY children all over. Anyway Henry and Emily Robinson had my grandfather Hubert Z Fowlin, Evadney Fowlin and Jenny Fowlin. My grandfather is from Sterling Castle, Red Hills, and also had Fowlin cousin in the area. Hubert Z Fowlin and Winnifred Theresa Cameron had 8 children 6 boys and 2 girls, I am the off spring on one of them. My grandfather raised all his kids alone. Winnifred left for the states in the early 60's and went straight to Pennsylvania were she kept the last name but created other ties and had more children giving them the Fowlin last name. My grandfather's children are from space out in age a bit and born in different part of Jamaica. Anyways the all moved up to the states in the late 70's and settled in Brooklyn, NY. My grandfather passed in '91 and winnifred in '05. Both the family story goes Fowlin is a unique last name tied to my Grandfather's Father. It's an Irish last name, and all Fowlin's are linked at some point in time. We have confirmed family in England, Canada, Cuba, America (of course), other Islands besides Jamaica. Some of us are Light skin, many of us are Brown skin. Also I know of two Roy Fowlins and both were my grandfathers cousins; I will find out if any were light skin and lived in St. Catherine at any point in time. My mother is 49 years old, so you certainly fit into their time frame. oh and there are a few Fowlin's in NEW JERSEY. We had a cookout in NJ back in 03/04 I believe it was.
