I'm looking for any links to families with any of these surnames from the Cardenas / Matanzas part of Cuba.

DUENAS, Jose Felix (b. circa 1895) and his father Jose Martin (b. circa 1845) both originally from Cardenas
ARBIDE, Cipriano (originally from Vizcaya, Spain)
PADRON, Juana
CASTILLO, Tomasa, (b. circa 1895)

I also have Sardinas and Tapanes grandparents, but less information about them.

We have been searching for the parents of John Castillo, born 1815 in Spain. John married Crinsette Montes de Oca and in the 1850 census of Tampa FL they have 3 children; Diego, Anthony and Isabel Castillo age 1 year.

I am interested in the Montes de Oca line. I have a little I can share. I have yet to connect my kin to those that ended up in Tampa with this surname, but I'm sure it's there. If you think we might be able to help eachother, please contact me directly at atryan0704@aol.com

I don't know of any "John" Castillo in my information collected so far -- my grandmother's father was Juan Castillo from Cardenas, Cuba. We have no other information on him however except that he had my grandmother, Tomasa and 3 other kids by another woman whose name we do not know. We do know one of those kids was Anita Castillo and the other two were boys.

Ana I have the birth certificate for Julian Montes de Oca that you traded us. On it it said his parents were Antonio and Maria del Pino Montes de Oca and Antonio was the son of Bartolome and Josefa Rodriguez Montes de Oca. Those were the parents of Juan Montes de Oca born 1734 in St. Augustine, Fl This is a puzzle because of the dates. Our Bartolomo was born 8/25/1726 son of Antonio & Maria Cavesa de Baes Montes de Oca.
Josefa Rodriguez was born 3/19/1701 daughter of Antonio Rodriguez & sebastiana Alverez de Reyna
