Valeriano Heredia, 93, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 12, 2005, at his residence.

He was born April 29, 1911 in Santiago, Cuba.

Valeriano worked as a superintendent of Cosmopolitan Apartments in Woodside, N.Y. He has been in Port Charlotte for 15 years after moving here from New York.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Unice; sons, Alfred Jalban of Cuba, Emilo Millett of Atlanta, Angel Heredia of Port Charlotte, Arturo Heredia of Port Charlotte; daughter, Orchid Griffin of Dade City, Fla.; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2005, at Kays-Ponger Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Port Charlotte Chapel. A Catholic prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
