I have been trying for about two years now to get information on my families backround from Cuba. My fathers name is Agustin Palacios and his mother is Ondina Abreu and father is Agustin Palacios. He was born in Havana about 1949 or 1948. They have relocated to new York and then Miami. If anyone could please help I would be so greatful..... Thanks Jen

My great grandmother was an Abreu...living in the Santa Clara area (circa 1920-1950)...my grandmother tells me there's even a memorial statue dedicated to the Abreus for their success in the independence wars against Spain. I think these Abreus cam from Pinar del Rio area before Santa Clara. I can try to get more info for you if you're interested.

Yes, Please and thank you. All I know is my grandmother is Abreu but I don't know if she was born in Cuba or moved there as a child. I did hear stories of her helping people escape from there and being caught and just told to move to the states and never comback..Any information you do have about Abreu family history is greatly appreciated...
