RE: Cuba’s Telephone Directory - URL : http://www.pamarillas.cu/esp/blancas.jsp
Spain - Canary Islands Telephone Directory URL : http://www.infobel.com/spain/wp/search/
Here are the Url’s for the telephone directories for both Cuba and Spain, just copy and past these URL's to your browser. Note the telephone directory for Spain covers the Canary Islands as well. Hope this will answer a good portion of the questions I see on this listing.
University of Florida has an agreement with the government of Cuba to digitize the ships manifest during the 1500‘s to 1800‘s. This is an excellent primary source for queries prior to Florida becoming a State, most of those records in Florida where destroyed, thus making it extremely important for both historians and genealogists. This project was announced back in 2001 by University of Florida, and was to take approximately 18 months. Does any one know the status of this project?
