Hi,

My mother's maiden name is Nodal, and I believe my great great grandfather was Fernandez. My grandfather's name was Jose Miguel Nodel from Camaguey, Cuba. We came to the U.S.A. in 1960, and I know he had a sister in CA, and siblings in Florida

My great great grandfather, Bruno Nodal Fernandez, owned a Sugar Plantation (Santa Rosa) in Matanzas, Cuba (near Union de Reyes). He married Blasa Rodriguez Rosainz. He was probably born in the early 1800's (or before). They had several offspring, among which was my great uncle, Roman Nodal, Senator of Matanzas for over 20 years. I know the family had ties to the U.S., because he would send his children to study and for extended periods in the U.S. My great grandparents were cousins, Oscar Brioso Nodal and Consuelo Nodal Rodriguez. I have documented the family tree since Bruno Nodal Fernandez. Send me an EMail if you would like further information or if you can provide me with information about my family tree.

Fernandez Cousins

Hello,
I have not researched in Cuba as of yet but we do have a web page with a good deal of data including scanned images of documents and photos of homes of my ancestors and some sports teams and KW school class photos. There are six hundred headstone photos from Key West City Cemetery on the web page also. We also have included transcriptions from the passengers list to Key West and Tampa from Cuba which includes several names other than just Fernandez and Nodal along with photos of some of the passenger ships that carried them.
If you have time I hope you will come by and leave a note in the guest book about your line so if someone else does connect to you they can locate you or if you see we connect please let me know.
Thanks so much.
