Heres's what I have in my database records:
1889 / 106 W. 61st Street. My Grandparents [Manuel Francisco Barranco and Mercedes Fernández de Barranco] with six children (3 more born later) were living at 106 W. 61st Street in 1889.
1890: / 104 W. 61st Street. Ubaldina Barranco de Guerra and José Benjamín Guerra [her husband] were living at 104 W. 61st Street, just 1 (maybe 2) Brownstone buldings apart in 1890. Their daughter Ubaldina (AKA Ubita)Guerra married Carlos Pujol.
Between 1876 and about 1900, the Barranco family (my Grandparents and children) lived in about seven or more street addresses in NYC. It was also not uncommon for Cuban relatives and friends to live with the Barranco family for weeks, months, maybe longer. My Barranco Grandparents were both deceased by 1896. The children in 1896 ranged in age from 3-21. The younger ones were raised by their eldest sister, my Aunt Ana, who was a Saint.
