I can speak and read Spanish but writing it is another story, however there was this doctor here in Tampa named Jorge Trelles, very well known surgeon in Ybor City and founder of Trelles Clinic. I know that he was from Matanzas, Cuba. He died many years ago, maybe he was related to you? After all, Trelles is not a common surname.

I am pretty sure they are related, but as I understand the story the Trelles went to Ybor City and New Orleans around the 186...(during the 10 yr war in Cuba) my g-g-grandfather's relatives were exiled either in Ybor City or New Orleans. My g-g-father went to New Orleans. I dont really know if they were cousins or brothers, but definetly they were related. My g-g-father was an attorney, but there were a lot of doctors in that family.
