Mr. Santoyo,

Are you any relation to Francisco Santoyo y Gamboa who was married to Tomasa María Quintana y Díaz-Pimienta. They had at least one child, Amalia Felicitas who was married to Pedro Santiago Díaz-Pimienta y Peizan(born in 1828).

Thanks,

Nicolás.

Hi John,

It's great to find out we may be related..Unfortunately, I don't have any other info on the parents of Dolores Santoyo Dulzaides. She was my great-great grandmother and I have a picture of her which I'd be happy to send to you..I know she was from Matanzas because her husband (my g-g-grandfather ),
Antonio Simeon Barranco, was from Matanzas. He was first generation Cuban born. His father was born in Sicily and mother in Andalusia, Spain. At this stage, I don't know how long the Santoyo family was in Cuba.

Do you have a decendant tree of the Santoyo's & Dulzaides'?

My e-mail address: copaz@aol.com

Hoping to hear from you,
Carlos

My great grandfather was Manuel Santoyo-Dulzaides who married Maria Fernandez from the Dominican Republic. I'm not sure how many children they had, but my grandfather was Manuel Santoyo Fernandez. He married Isabel Pazos-Pichardo. From them, came my father plus 3 more children. It seems that Dolores Santoyo-Dulzaides was most likely my great-grandfather's sister. Do you have any info of his parents? So far I haven't found the connection to Spain. Lets talk some more!

My paternal grandmother is from Camarioca and her name was Isabel Pazos. Any of the Pazos from Camarioca are most likely related to me. There are also more that currently live in Cardenas. I have 2 cousins also in Hialeah that are from the Pazos family: Osvaldo Pazos and Ofelia Sanchez (Pazos). It would be interesting to find out who his parents, grandparents are.
