I am looking for information on the family of Dionisio de Paula Arias y Mendes from around 1860-1900. He married Maria Matilde Delgado y Pintado of Pinar del Rio (she died in Havana). (Her mother was Amalia Pintado y Lopez and her father was Domingo Delgado y Ortega born in San Antonion de las Vegas in Havana and died in Pinar del Rio. Their other children were Amalia Maria Margarita - married Jose Francisco Solano Ramos y Delgado, Dr. Alberto Delgado y Pintado, and Maria--I think married Hernandez.)

Dionisio's father was Anselmo Maria de Paula Arias y González of Havana. Anselmo moved to Pinar del Rio and was involved with growing tobacco. Dionisio's brother, Antonio de Paula Arias wrote a book on their system of growing tobacco. There was also a Bernardo de Paula Arias that I think was Anselmo's brother that was a vice mayor of Pinar del Rio.

Dionisio's mother was Maria Mendes y Montiel.
