Have you checked the ellisisland.org web page? There is a list of Pando that travel to Cuba. My great grandmother, Aurora Pubillones de Capo sister, Virtudes was married to Celestino Pando. They live in Guantanamo, Cuba in the late 1800's. They were also my grandfathers godparents and was told they had many children. If at one point they lived in Pinar del Rio that I would not know but would gladly ask my cousin who might remember them.

Thanks for the info. I did find some in Ellis Isl. but not the ones I look for. I search for Ramon Pando,b. 1883,in Oviedo. He was son of Engracia Suero & Franciso Pando. Ramon had a brother Celestino, also siblings - Consuelo, Segundo, Eustaqio and Nenito (Raul?). Do you know more about your gr-grandfather Celestino? I am in Florida & wonder if there are any records of Asturianos Societies in Miami - forum, do you know? Thanks everyone.

If you know that your Pando's are in fact Asturiano, then I'll be of little help. I have Pandos in Las Villas, but my understanding is that they were Canario.
