My grandmother's maiden name was Navarro. She was born in Cuba and I was wondering how many other Navarro's or their descendants are out there.

My maternal great-grandmother's maiden name was Juanita Navarro. Her two sisters were Ursula and Frances. I'm not sure where she was from. My maternal grandmother's name was Helen Acevedo and she resided in Sacramento, Ca. I am trying to trace my family tree from my mother's side and any information would be appreciated.

My mom, who is from Cuba, said to me that ever since she was a little girl she had been told, along with her siblings and cousins, about a supposed Navarro fortune that was put in some bank in Europe about 100+ years ago. This fortune was supposed to be distributed among the descendants of the Navarro family. The Navarro who had this fortune was supposedly a priest who got the money from his brother, or something like that.

I was just wondering if anybody else had heard something similar to the above.

I am starting to research my family tree. My 2nd great-grandmother (on my mother's father's side) was Maria Navarro-Neninger from Limonal and Matanzas. If you have any information, please email me.

Hi, My name is Catarino Quintanilla Navarro. my understanding is that All Navarro's originally came from Spain. The family branched out via other countries,Islands etc; to arrive in different parts of the USA.
I was born in San Antonio, Texas and have many Navarro relatives there and the surrounding towns. A cousin (Carlos Navarro) from Devine, Texas and I am are also working on our Navarro genealogy and have created a Navarro Web Site.
