I checked my Varlack family tree and found Euthony Smith. He is the son of James Smith and Elizabeth Varlack Smith. He was married to Rosalia Smith and the children listed are Freddie, Lorraine, Basil, Edmead and Berecia. Hope this helps. If you wish, I can put you in direct contact with your Smith family.

About a month ago, this name came up in my family tree. I had a great uncle whose daughter married an Osmond Potter which was Leslye's brother. Osmond married Mary George and they resided in New York. One of Mary's granddaughters is now running for a Counsel seat in the Bronx. My mom also told me that Leslye was the midwife that delivered her on Anegada, BVI. Hope this helps.

I am interested in that because it is the Faulkner line that I need to include in the Anegada Faulkner tree.
I am a George whose family moved to Anegada from Virgin Gorda and I am product of George on both my mother's side and my father's side. I am also related to Creque on my mother's side (unknown to me)and my greatgrandmother was a Wheatley. I believe I can best trace the Wheatley family or the one set of George family so if you are willing to share your ancestors names, I should be able to make the connection. I am pretty sure we are related. Hope to hear from you shortly or email anytime at myrn7@hotmail.com

My family is from North Sound, George and Creque to be exact, but family members also include, Wheatley, etc. i also have family members all over the US, I've also heard about family members in the DR.

I am not at all versed in my George family. I recently learned that my mother's grandmother had about 15 George brothers and sisters though she was a Creque. They were all my aunts and uncles because they were related to her. Also, I am a George from my father's side but I do not know them at all. I traced as far as Virgin Gorda and found that my ggrandfather was James George and that he was born on Virgin Gorda. I have not found any of his family so I really do not know my George family on my father's side. They went to Macoris and we are the one that have returned so I really do not know the George family.

Hello,

I have been trying to do a family tree for a long time and have been very unsuccessful in finding information.
My great grand parents Adela Nelson and Alton George married and had kids. I assume that they are from BVI, but I am not positive. From that marriage they had the following kids: Thomas George, Ivan George (deceased), Edna George (born in St Thomas married name change to Edna Callwood...died Sept 2011) Ines O'neal (was a george) and Alpheous George (died as well). If you any of this rings a bell please give me a shout at (copi28@yahoo.com). I gave up on ancestry since I was unsuccessful.
This is the Henry Creque that I have been speaking of. He has since passed. They live in McNamara area of Tortola. He is my father's first cousin through his mother Gertrude George. There are about 5 daughters now all residing on Tortola and the family owns the Creque store in Road Town. One son is alive still. Hope that helps.
Hi there, I am not sure who you were really referring your question to but I have seen this connection back in slavery days. Sprauve and Varlack were owners of slaves and they worked their plantation. I believe sprauve may have been the overseer and Varlack was a owner definitely. Check Ancestry.com for full details on this. Need the international version so you can get in to british documents.
anegada and tortola, virgin gorda, peter island. Lovango , etc.
yes, this is an old post but I just got it. I mentioned my cousins that live on Tortola. Their father was my father's first cousin. His name was Henry Creque. His mother was my great aunt Gertude George and Henry has a few girls and two boys (one now deceased). some of his daughters include alma Flax and Joan, Elaine, etc. Son is Freddy Creque. I am also related to the Creque family as my greatgrandmother was Henrietta Creque of Anegada and her father was a George Creque also of Anegada or Virgin Gorda. That's going a way back.
I recently learned that my mother's grandmother had George siblings and I have been able to trace them but I have still not been able to trace my father's George. I see that his grandfather came from Virgin Gorda and his name was James George but still no other family connection. Still searching.
Hi Marcia, the George Varlack that you refer to must be a younger George than the one in this post request but I am wondering about something. Could you get me your George Varlack's parents name and if possible his grandparents names and where they were from. I am trying to clear up some discrepancies in the Varlack line. Also, I am looking for someone that was called Jimmy or James (his father was called Jimbo). Heard he went to the New York. Is George that person or does he know this person I am looking for? Please let me know....Thanks...Myrna

About 25 years ago i knocked on the door of the home of Henry Osborne Creque on the water in Tortola. I had just learned from my grandmother that her father William j Creque was born on Anegada. I mentioned that fact the the captain of the sailboat we had chartered and he pointed our the Creque home. I boldly intruded and was greeted by a stately and gracious gentlemen perhaps in his 70s. We discussed our possible connection. he was very kind. i also had the privelege of meeting his wife and daughter a strikingly beautiful young woman of around twenty. Could this have been your aunt? As I recall it one of his children was off at college and his daughter was about to to off as well. Suffice it to say we spent and evening with a group of local dignataries. As I recall Mr. Creque had a leadership position in the government in an area having to do with the islands utilities.

I have done research on William and his adventures. he left a book of victorian poetry chronicling his life and loves. Writes of leaving the island when he was but a boy and of his time aboard ship and the people he met. he sailed to england and around the horn to San francisco and then to Virginia City where the Comstock silver lode was booming. He met and married an austrian woman and had two children, one of them my grandmother ella. I really only write because of my fond memory of your grandfather, a man of great grace and dignity.
Hello Ladies:
Sounds like we need to get Linette on Geni, what do you think Myrna? Linette, like Myrna and I, you & I are third cousins. What's even more amazing is we both live in Houston (the world keeps getting smaller). I'm curious about Theodora Wheatley-Norman, maybe you can help me with this one Myrna. I always assumed she was a sibling of Elliot, Samuel, Thomas, Evana, Elizabeth & Margaret Wheatley. Where did she come from? Neither Marcus nor Iliana added her as a sibling. By the way Linette, please contact me at picturepuzzles@sbcglobal.net. I hope we can meet up soon.
