Update on Oct 2, 2013 post. All of Lesley children names are now known, two more of the five that were missing are, Leopole, Detmena.

Her "Leslye" siblings were, Elizabeth, Isaac, Sarah, Jane, n Alexandrina, their births go from mid 1840's to mid 1850's.

Frances Leslye Creque - Potter. She was born around 1856/7. It seems that her father was William Creque, who was manumitted around 1791 from (Spanishtown) Virgin Gorda. He shows up in St. Croix living in Christiansted town. He is in the census. It also looks like he has been living there for many years, probably as a preteen. So, now we are searching for a possible family that he may have had there in St. Croix, USVI. At one point, he is a sailor so his traveling is easy. However, there are other William Creque's too. William's is classified as a "Sambo" which means one parent is black and the other a Mallutto (white and black mixed). Frances has several siblings (listed above). Her mother is Ann Knight, a Mallutto, many years younger than William, they have their children in the British Virgin Islands. Both Ann and William are free many years before Emancipation in BVI and USVI. If you have matching info or more to share please send a reply so we can discuss further.
