I am currently researching a native of the British West Indies, Antiqua to be specific, who was born in 1884 and died June 19, 1922 in Montgomery, Montgomery Co, Alabama.
They are buried in historic Lincoln Cemetery which has been badly neglected, abandoned and vandalized. The marker which was down inside a vault is missing the left half which would give me the first name and birth month/day.
The only letters I can make out conclusively are ETHEL. Top half of marker is very beautiful with a depiction of a bird in flight. Do not know much about the Caribbean culture but would think this symbolizes their soul ascending to heaven.
Thanks for all and any leads. Would like to give them their identity back.
