For a while, I have been researching my
Prosser line
My 2 x ggf was Thomas
Prosser, born in Breconshire, possibly Talgarth, the son of Samuel
Prosser .. I have no definite proof but it is perceived that he was the son of Samuel
Prosser & his wife Catherine who resided at Great House, Talgarth in the 1841 & 1851 Census returns
His marriage cerificate from 1860 lists him as 32 years old, son of Samuel
Prosser (deceased) and a widower
He is easily found on the 1861, 1871, 1881 & 1891 Census - however, I can only find an entry for his wife, Rachel
Prosser, formerly
Roberts, maiden name
Jenkins, aged 66 at The
Barracks, Blaenavon, Mon on the 1901 Census. She is listed as married so I assume that he was 'elsewhere'
Rachel died in Feb 1902 and the death certificate lists her occupation as wife of Thomas
Prosser, a labourer at iron works
This is where it ends ... I am unable to find an entry on the 1911 Census for Thomas
Prosser and have no idea which of the Thomas Prossers on the 1901 Census for the area surrounding Blaenavon, Bedwelty & Breconshire is mine
If anyone out there is researching the
Prosser name from Breconshire & Monmouthshire and has this person in their tree, please help me out of this frustration (:
Thanks
