On a recent visit to the records office in Dolgellau, I found sufficient evidence to prove that my Richard Griffiths (my gggg grandfather) lived in Troed y Rhiw (now a listed building) together with his wife Blanch Owen in Llanymawddwy. What I am now looking for is further evidence of where other members of my family in Llanymawddwy lived. John Richard (my ggg grandfather) probably lived with his parents at least until he married in 1798. One of his children (Morgan) was shown to be living at Tyn Tynwent in the parish. I would like to know if this dwelling is still there.

Soon after John Richard died(in 1809) his widow Hannah Morgan re-married to Ellis Jones who was shown to reside in the village on the birth of their son Ellis in 1813 and was described as a Farmer. Where would his farm have been?
