Surnames:
Tydu, often spelled Tydee, Tyde, etc, in C19, is a once separate village, now part of Rogerstone, Monmouthshire. A major source of employment was Tydu Tinplate Works.
As Tydu simply means 'black house', there may be other places with this name...
