I have recently got hooked on researching my family and have had quite a bit of success but I have hit a wall and am looking for help in getting over it.
My grandmother Ellen Jones was born in Gresford about 1861, married in 1888 at the age of 27 to John Williams. My problem is I cannot find her birth for sure. I checked 1837 on line and found 5 possible people in 1861 and 6 possibles in 1860. These are Ellens born in Wrexham but how can I fine tune and find people born in Gresford. Buying 11 certificates from GRO is not on. LDS IGI does not seem to help with this. Has anyone any suggestions. I found her in 1871,81,91 and 1901 census data but I cannot find her mother's maiden name to go further back.
