Hi i am trying to find my great grandmothers doris doreen jones birth certificate without success..we think she was born around october 1917.she was brought up by guerino (jack)mariti and Bertha mariti and lived at the derwydd in burry port and moved to ashburnam and did not find out until she was to get married that they were not her birth parents.
we were told her father was a jones and he signed some paper to say she was 18 and she never saw him again, we were told her mother died at birth.We have her marriage cert and she was married to david bassett in 1935.she had a adopt brother gerald which we found his birth certificate.
she worked at the tinworks in burry port as a young girl with guerino mariti who was quite well known in burry port for saving lives their is a plaque in his honour at the harbour.i hope someone can help as we have tried alot of different avenue.
