Alexander son of Wm. & Catherine, immigrated to Nova Scotia Canada on or about 1858. Catherine Bethune's parents may have been John & Flora Bethune. John & Flora Bethune immigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada about 1816. Any information on either of these families would be appreceiated. Am willing to share what information I have on all descendants of this MacKay line in Canada. William & John immigrated to Manitoba, Canada, while Philip eventually imigrated to Oregon, U.S.A. Robert immigrated to Nova Scotia as well. Margaret remained in Scotland.
