Grant Murray was the son of William Murray and Catherine McLeod of Brochroby, Clyne. He married Jane on 21 Dec 1849. She was previously married to Alexander McKay. She is the daughter of James Murray and Ann Gunn. William Murray who married Catherine McLeod is the son of William Murray and Christian Grant.
