Surnames: McIntosh, Gunn, McKay, Gordon, McDonald, Sutherland
George McIntosh (1773-1839), son of John McIntosh and Catherine McKay married Margaret Sutherland (1790-1885), daughter of William Sutherland and Catherine McKay and lived at Inchverry House, Tongue. Sons went to Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Daughter, Catherine married her cousin William McIntosh and later James McKay and remained in Tongue at Inchverry House.

Robert Gordon and wife Barbara McKay of Farr had daughter Barbara who emigrated with niece Barbara Gunn and her husband, Alexander McIntosh to Ontario, Canada. Another daughter, Johann (1800-1882) married Goerge Gunn and lived at Camster and Lybster, Caithness. Possible relationship into Campbells at Farr.

Angus McDonald born 1771 married twice. Second marriage to Isobel McKay born 1781. Lived Farr. Had 3 sons Hector, Hugh, William and daughter Elizabeth. William and Elizabeth possibly twins from second marriage. Hugh married Barbara McLeod. Elizabeth married Donald Gunn of Camster, Caithness. All families emigrated in 1840s to Ontario, Canada.

John McKay (1816-1885) son of John McKay and Catherine Elder, born Reay, Sutherlandshire married Flora Gunn (1821-1903), daughter of John Gunn and Janet Murray and born in Glasgow. The Gunns returned to Melvick where Janet died before John and daughters Flora and husband, and Catherine emigrated to Canada. Son William Gunn had alreaady emigrated in 1836. Missing sons Donald born 1824, Alexander born 1819, and John born 1827.

William Sutherland and Catherine McKay lived at Tongue where he was a stone mason. Their family included: 1. Margaret (1778-1873) married George Mc Intosh
2. George who died in 1850's leaving his sisters money
3. William unsure if a brother and was he the one who built 14 apartments in Aberdeen in 1839.
4. Donald - unsure if he was a brother
5. Barbara married Alexander Troupe and James Allison
6. Elizabeth married Donald McLeod and lived in Aberdeen
7. Helen (1794-1846) married Alexander Colquhoun and emigrated to Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada
8. Grace (1800-1889) married Duncan Mc Donald and emigrated to Australia
