I am hoping to find parents of William Sutherland, b. 13 Sep 1840 in Nova Scotia; on 17 Sep 1862, in Indian Harbour, Guysborough, Nova Scotia, married Melinda Rood, b. Feb 1843 in Nova Scotia. Both died in Massachusetts. According to census records, William's parents were born in Scotland, and Melinda's parents in England. Any ideas as to how I can find William's parents? Thank you!
