Hello Listers,
My Gt Gt grandfather Peter SUTHERLAND b. Dec. 1803 at Rathen, Banffshire and his wife Mary FORD, b 1804 named their second daugher FERLIE. On her marriage cert. of 1863 she has changed the name to Ferlina or Faralina.
I wondered if any lister knew of this name and indeed where it originated. The spelling has varied and could be Pherlina. This name was passed down to her grandchildren b. in the 1900's but abbreviated to Lena.
Does this name appear in any other listers tree?

Any ideas?
