Hi I have just begun tracing Ronald McDonald b 1790 and have found a baptism record from St Ninians that shows father was James, but mother is not on the record. Also found a Dorothy born to a James and Euphemia in 1788.

Does anyone have experience researching events in this parish - anytips on where to go next? e.g. There don't seem to be any burial records on Scotlands People - does anyone know of cemetary transcriptions or other sources?

James & Euphemia lived in Clayhills, have the impression this was once a village outside Stirling and is now part of Stirling - is this correct? Any general info of history of Clayhills?

I've never heard of an area called Clayhills but there appears to be a Clayhills Cottage near Cambusbarron in Stirling. (Found by doing a Google search for Clay Hills)

The map reference to the cottage is NS781921.

If you go to Multimap and key in the co-ordinates, or key in the Post Code FK7 9PS, you should arrive at the exact spot.
