I am researching the Mathesons of North and South Carolina. I hope to someday publish a book on this family.



The Matheson Clan was from Lochalsh. Their history dates back to the 1200s. The name comes from Ireland and was originally MacMathan.



My branch was in Fodderty Parish, Easter Ross. They emigrated to North Carolina and settled near Taylorsville around 1772.



Does anyone have a connection with the Mathesons?
