This is not true. Logic and precedent defeat this supposition. The Scots Peerage Vol. I on pages 470 - 472 refers to Dorothy Stewart being the second wife of William Murray, 2nd Earl of Tullibardine, born 1574, the dispute of that marriage by Ewpham Littilljohne claiming to have been married to William in1593, and the Letters of Legitimation obtained in favor of John Murray, minister at Trinity Gask. I am informed that Rev. John Murray is not recorded to have been christened at Blair Atholl. Furthermore, I have photographs and a statement from a person who viewed the genealogical charts at Blair Atholl and found no mention of Rev. John Murray and, thus, the records are fraudulently underinclusive.
