ROY Betsy; PER,SCT; b 1857.

Betsy (or Bessy, etc) Ferguson ROY, was born Jan/Feb 1857 in Auchnafauld, Aberfeldy, near Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland.

Her mother was Christina Ferguson Roy. (Born circa 1837, died 14 July 1907.)
Her father’s name is not known. Her parents were not married.

Betsy had half-siblings X (later Mrs McGarvey) and John Reid, a gamekeeper at Remony Lodge. Perthshire, who died 1923.

In 1873, Betsy emigrated to New Zealand.

I’m wondering if a baptism record could provide Betsy’s father’s name, or . . . .

Thank you! For any help or suggestions about researching her ancestors. I did try Scots Origins, and got basic information for Betsy, but none definite enough to be sure re Christina.
