I would like to know if it is possible to obtain a birth record for my Grandfather when I don't know what last name he was using at birth and while growing up? He was born 5/25/1903. He states in two different papers, that he was born in Motherwell and Glasgow. His first name was Daniel and I do know that his Mothers name was Mary McGimpsey and he stated on one paper that his Fathers name was John Hans (this spelling could be different). I have been told that his mother and father weren't married. His Mother later married John Hamilton. I would really love to find out his fathers name. Thanks for any info.
