Thanks for your reply. I would love all the help I can get! The Hamilton Palace Historian did some research for me and found out that my gg-grandfather Parker Thomson, was the (I forget the official name)the Parish Church Choir Leader. Somehow his daughter Catherine, ended up with my gg-grandfather Henry Apel. Unfortunately there were no records on Henry which is sad because that is a proud part of our family history.
