Seeking info on my Grandfather Robert Hughan, parents James and Sarah. It is believed they left Scotland abt 1882 as Roberts' papers state he was born Bootle Lancashire Eng but others state Liverpool Australia. It has been told he played soccor for Scotland and the team members were thratened to be hung if they lost. It is strange there is a Buitle in Scotland and Bootle in England, a Liverpool in England and Australia. It seems he tried to cover his tracks.
Robert married Eliza Jane Hopley in England 1901.
