I would be very interested to hear from any other researchers of the Macdonalds in Glen Strathfarrar and Urquhart Parish generally, particularly the Macdonalds from the Inverigan family of Glencoe who came up to Glen Strathfarrar and Strathconon to manage Alexander Macdonald Chief of Glencoe's rented sheep farms in the early 1800s. My G-G-Grandfather, Kenneth Macdonald, Sheep farmer and Innkeeper of Dalnacroich, Strathconon was born in 1820 to John Macdonald (Sheep Farmer) and Margaret (M.S.) Macdonald. There was much intermarriage between the family and people from Urquhart Parish and I believe that John or his father (as yet unidentified) may have been the first of the family to go to Strathconon.
