Surnames: Mckenzie, McInzie, Stalker
I am searching for a Daniel McKenzie or McInzie who was born on Nov. 28, 1823. Parents UNKOWN much to my dismay he is not listed on any parish register anywhere. He stated on a 1851 Census that he was born near Grantown Strathspey. He married a Catherine Stalker on Nov. 11, 1848 in Dollar Clackmannon and here he stated that he was a coachman. They had a daughter named Catherine who died in 1848. They then went to Limekilns and had son Peter Stalker Mckenzie on 9/11/1849; then Mary Ann Mckenzie on 10/5/1851 in South Leith where he was still a coachman; then David Stalker Mckenzie in Edenburgh on 24 Jamaica Street on 10/1/1853; the family then went by unregistered means to Georgetown Onterio and John Stalker Mckenzie was born on 9/18/1855; then son Duncan Stalker Mckenzie was born on 9/16/1857; the family the went to Detroit, Michigan and daughter Catherine Stalker McKenzie was born on 3/13/1863; from here the family went to Grand Chain Illinois and twins Daniel and William were born on 12/5/1869. The family then traveled to Hutchinson Kansas and it is here that Daniel Mckenzie is buried and died on 3/27/1884. I have been trying to find his parents or relatives for 6 years. I have a picture of him taken in Detroit and he is wearing a womans ring on his little finger, it looks to be a family crest ring. He also had grandchildren named William Hayes McKenzie and Daniel Edwin McKenzie, wether by coincidence or a family connection I do not know. If anyone out there recognizes this family or knows of any connection please let me know. Thank you, Richelle Buckles
