I do not believe there is a place called Stromme, but there is Stromness in the Orkney Islands, off the Scottish coast,or a Stromeferry in the Highland region of Scotland.
Hope this helps, contact me if you need any more information.

There is also Stromachain, normally just called Strome, which was a cottar settlement in the township of Lionacleit in the Isle of Benbecula. It is where a stream or outfall draining the centre of the island runs out to sea. I am aware too of various other uses of the word though I will need to rack my brain to remember where.

It may possibly be a rendering of STROMA - a now uninhabited island off the north coast of Caithness. It had a thriving population for centuries.
It falls within the Church of Scotland parish of CANISBAY, for all pre-1855 records.
