Surnames: McCaig
I have been looking for a reference to Donald McCaig who was Minister at Muckairn from 1859. He was the brother of John Stuart McCaig who built the Tower in Oban. I came across a bad scan of his entry which I trancribe below:

DONALD McCaig, born Island of Lismore, 1828, son of Malcolm M. and Margaret Stewart ; educated at Univs. of Glasgow and St Andrews, and New College, Edinburgh ; licen. by Presb. of Lorn 2nd May 1854 ; ord. (assistant) St Columba's, Glasgow, 22nd May 1855 ; trans, to Watten 23rd Nov. 1858 ; trans, and adm. 28th Sept. 1859; died unmarr. 11th April 1886.

If anyone can confirm that my reading is correct from an actual copy of the Fasti I would be grateful as I currently live in Oxfordshire and doubt our local library has a copy. Thanks.
