I am researching the Charles William Dallas family from Lanarkshire and Fife with the hope that I can connect this family to Alexander M. Dallas, born about 1844 in Scotland, and living in Boston, USA 1871-1905.

Charles William Dallas, born 1851 in Barony, Lanark, Scotland, married Ann Dutch Lessels.

Charles and Ann had at least 5 children:

Charles Alexander Dallas, born 1879, married Ann Dryburgh
Thomas Lessels Dallas, born 1880, died 1972, buried in Fife
Mackenzie Dallas, born 1888, died 1932, buried in Fife
Gilbert Lessels Dallas, born 1893, died 1961

Charles William's parents were Alexander Dallas and Isabella McKenzie.

I am interested in connecting Alexander M. Dallas to a family in Scotland. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find Alexander M. in the parish and census records with the information I have gathered from US records.

I appreciate that this line of research is a long-shot, but even if I wind up ruling out this family as a connection, I have made progress.
