William James DUNNACHIE, Private 9474, 14th Bn., Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, who died on Monday 16th October 1916, age 20. Son of Matthew and Sarah Ward DUNNACHIE of 6 Mossblown Row, Annbank Station, Ayrshire. Born at Drongan, Ayr.

ive sent a list of ones in my tree remember ayrshire borders lanarkshire very close to glasgow

thank you very much. My younger sister reminded me she was named for Dad's grandmother, Sara who was a weaver, I think it may have been she lived in Weaver Vennel and at some stage my grandmother Maggie joined her there. My elder sister Barbara Patricia may have also been named for an ancestor - I have found only one Barbara in all these names, McMillan, associated with the Cuthbert family tree - Willy Cuthbert and John Burns were both cousins of my father.
