I have a Marion Brown ,born around 1828 .SHe married a William Gilchrist .He had family living in Muirkirk.Don`tr know if Marion was from that area or not. I know nothing else of her family in Scottland. SHe immigrated to America in 1848.She had a son David born in Scottland.ANy info would be helpful. Thanks

Susan, Do you have the MI for your family in High Kirk Stevenston, A55A Here lys the corps of Mattheu Broun weaver in Stevenston who died Jan 13 1760 age 70 years also his spouse Margaret Boyd d. Oct 1744 age 46 years also Margaret Broun spouse of Mattheu Brown merchant in Stevenston d. Jan...age 71 years also the above Matheu Broun merchant in Stevenston d. April 29 1808 age 73 years also Robert Brown d. 21 Dec 1832 age 23 years. There is also one for his family let me know if you dont have it. They are also in the Landsborough list of 1819.
