I'm searching for a Maclaren family of Joseph & Margaret married Aug.7,1896. They had 5 girls Margaret b.1899,Beth b.1900, May b.1902, Francis Ann b. 1903 and Sarah Paterson Maclaren b. June 24,1907. The girls came to Canada without their parents and lived in Ontario.
Joseph is buried in Kilwinning with a woman and baby. Any info on this family would be great.

Saw your posting in Ancestry.com, September 18, 1998. I have a Campbell Ballantyne who married Julia Munro in Kilwinning about 1874. I have information Campbell, but not Julia. Let me know if I came help.

Hi Bob,
Her name is actually Julian Haig Munro, the daughter of James Munro and Elizabeth Haig. They married on 10 July 1874 at Kilwinning, Ayrshire where her father, James, was the Foreman of Labourers at Eglington Castle at Kilwinning. I have found five children born to Campbell and Julian so far - Thomas ca 1875, James Munro ca 1876, Elizabeth Haigh ca 1878, Martha ca 1882, and another Thomas ca 1889. Julian was born ca 1851 at Dundonald, Ayrshire and died ca 1925. Haven't done any research on this family in a while. Would appreciate anything you can add.

Thanks,
