This couple only registered the birth's of their children after 1855, with Robert, born 08/March/1855, if you dont already have his certificate it would be well worth getting as it would give the marriage date, and previous children.

I've just picked on your message of October 2005, and I've just managed to get help to reply to you. I'll post an e-mail with our comparative records. Elizabeth Allan has posed problems about her birthplace and her mother. Robert's birth also is also not clear as I have not yet confirmed date and place and parents. I believe him to be my gggfather.

Meantime if you can clarify these two points it could open the lright door.
