Please could someone tell where to start looking for McArdle/McCardle catholic christenings between 1814 and 1830 in the Ayrshire area. Parents would have been James Mccardle and Mary, possibly from Ireland. ANy suggestions would be greatfully received.

The details for Ayrshire Archives will be out of date, they now have their own site etc at: http://www.ayrshirearchives.org.uk

If you search the poor relief database on www.ayrshire-roots.com below, and search on ardle it will pick up all spelling variations on it. It picked up 6 entries although one was for Fardles. There are also McCARDLE entries listed in the surnames and herald databases.
