I have a Robert Thomson born about 1800 in Kilmarnock. He married Mary Muir. They married 1824. Their daughter Margaret was married at Dean Lane in Kilmarnock. On a 1819 map of Kilmarnock, it list on Dean Lane an area marked belonging to the "Heirs of R. Thomson". I'm thinking Robert's father was Robert as well and he died while the map was being laid out. Have you found any connection to Dean Lane. If so we are probably related. Also on the map near Dean Lane is a Dam labeled Rob. Thomson & Sons Dam. If you find any connection, please let me know.
