Hi Dorothy,
I am sorry but I can't see an Annie Mair in my family back then but the records are so vague that it is possible she is. However a Janet Woodburn married an Archibald Mair in Loudoun in 1790's and on many occassions I have seen a sister and brother of one family marrying a brother and sister of another . Could this be the case here. I know that Janet Woodborn survived till the 1855 civil registers as she was the heir to her husbands will of 1855 and her death record may give you some link?? to Robert Woodburn. Sorry I can be of little help. Robbie

Hi Anne

I am connected to the Howat's of Ayrshire.

I have done a lot of work on the Howat's from Sorn and would be very intested in comparing notes. I know they are connected to the Fenwick Howat's.

I have looked up a lot of Howat certificates - 154 in all. -

All Ayrshire Howat's and would like to make sure all the information I have on file is fact and not here say.
