This follow-up to 23 Oct 2002 msg. Family rumored from Ayrshire. Earliest confirmed ancestor William ANDERSON prob b ca1750s named his son William Jr b1775 and first born son four later generations also named WILLIAM. Poss this is family tradition that began earlier in Scotland.
Wm married 1773 in Franklin Co PA, but was not member wife's church so prob came from outside the Mercersburg PA community. Unknown if he was the pioneer to America.
